In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, the United Way of Palm Beach County did what it always does in times of crisis: sprang into action.
While hundreds of thousands of impoverished Palm Beach County residents were struggling without power, UWPBC partnered with CityPlace’s developer, Related Companies, to transform the downtown space into a staging area for an emergency donation drive. Over a three-day span, the drive collected myriad essentials – everything from diapers, toilet paper and cleaning supplies to
non-perishable food, water and boxed milk.

To increase donations and general awareness about UWPBC’s countless programs, Alexia Savage, Senior Vice President of Communication & Resource Development, made the organization’s digital presence a top priority.
She enlisted Ideabar to do the research and create an effective, multi-platform campaign.
The result? “We have seen increased social media engagement, traffic to our website and online donations,” reported Savage. One more mission accomplished.
