Changing Minds:
Chairman’s Challenge, an integral part of Cox Conserves, our national sustainability program, functions as an annual campaign designed to raise employee awareness of Cox’s ambitious sustainability target of achieving water neutrality by 2034. In line with the objective to encourage employees to actively reduce their water footprint, Cox Ideabar introduced the Water Warrior campaign theme, featuring simplified messaging and compelling visuals, aimed at motivating employee participation through small but meaningful actions. The campaign’s visibility across the campus was notably enhanced through strategically positioned on-site communications at water consumption points.
Moving Markets:
The 2023 Chairman’s Challenge resulted in more than 3,000 employees engaging in the campaign, marking a notable 220% increase from the previous year. The collective effort resulted in nearly 8,000 actions taken, reflecting a substantial 412% increase compared to 2022, leading to a conservation of over 300,000 gallons of water. Notably, more than 1,300 employees actively calculated their water footprint, demonstrating a strong commitment to the cause.
